okay no but hear me out: a plot based on 13 going on 30. like muse a and muse b have been best friends since they were kids, and muse b has always had a little crush on muse a. muse a just wants to be one of the popular kids more than anything, and will do anything to get in good with them. when she invites them to her birthday party they trick her into thinking the popular guy wants to kiss her, and stuff her blindfolded in the closet. enter muse b, wondering where everyone is going and being told muse a was waiting for him to kiss her. muse a freaks out when she realizes it’s muse b and not who she thought it was going to be, kicks him out, and wishes to be older. magic pixie dust, fairy godmother, whatever you want makes it happen and bam she’s thirty years old with no idea what happened to her life.

muse a is pleasantly surprised to find out that she’s a successful whatever and living in a posh apartment in the city. but there’s one thing missing. muse b is nowhere to be found. muse a tracks muse b down, and is saddened to learn that they haven’t been friends for 10+ years. they begin hanging out with again, muse a even going to far as to hire muse b to help with some project at her job. muse a is realizing that she had feelings for him all along. the problem is, muse b has moved on, and he’s now engaged to be married in a few weeks. muse a has to decide whether she wants to interfere or let him be happy, but she knows that he’s not really happy with his fiancée, and that he would be much happier with her, but she’d never do anything to break up his relationship. muse a goes home to see muse b one last time before the wedding and ends up back in her old house, where the same thing that transported her to the future grants her wish to go back to being a teenager. With all of her knowledge of how the future could go, muse a knows exactly how she feels about muse b now, and it continues as a cute teen romance.

i did a terrible job explaining this but if you’ve seen the movie omg this would be such a cute plot???
